Pearl

Pearl is an experimental piece where I trialed with oil paint glazing. I started with doing the original portrait in acrylic and painted it in greyscale. I then used oil paint glazing and layered on different colors to reach its original values. To add a personal touch, I cut up the portrait and taped it back in to give the illusion of the face falling off. then I went in and put mushroom, insect, and flower stickers to include more visual interest and push the surreal effect further.
